TBT...Way back! My great-grandmother was a rockstar! She is holding me at 3 months, the lady in the middle is my mom not me, lol.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Her name was Desdemona Stott-Beeson, she was 100% unconventional. She was one of the first women to graduate from #stanforduniversity with a Masters Degree in Mining no less. She was a full fledged miner & could out do any man. She is probably not wearing work clothes because she is holding me, but she ran the mines under what is now #Snowbirdresort in Utah and by ran them I mean she was in charge of everything including the mining operation. All of the boys answered to her, got paid by her and respected her. She was a total badass then and today.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At one point she broke her back because a rock fell on her but she went right back to work in the mines a few days later. She is written about in the Utah historical society because she was such a pioneer. I feel extremely grateful for her legacy in my life she died when I was 10 so I have some sweet memories with her.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My grandmother was also a rockstar & business woman extraodinare. She handled millions of dollars in the 60's & 70's and played the stock market to win. She paid for my college education and lived on her earnings until she died at 97. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was the first grandkid so these women loved me fiercely. As a way of connecting to them and honoring the strong women in my family I am taking back my maiden name as a part of my identity. Laney Beeson-Houser is a tribute to the beautiful & amazing Beeson women in my family⁣!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Receiving is the key to living, if we are not good

Receiving is the key to living, if we are not good at receiving we are not good at living. Give it a try, think only about receiving all of the good things God has for you today, and see if anything shifts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm not talking about getting, getting energy is scarcity energy and feels yucky. I am talking about receiving what is already there for you & allowing all of the good things the Lord has for you to flow naturally into your life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, notice I didn't say "would that 'be' enough", because of course, it would "be" enough, that's how the laws of God work. So don't spiritualize but drop into your body to see if it would "feel" like enough. Get curious about it without any judgment and then set your mind to just receive all of the goodness God has for you today and notice if anything shifts. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
